‘Make A Wish’ - Sound Composition
For ‘Make a Wish’, I explored a medium far from my usual visual practice. During a trip to Beirut, I became deeply drawn to its sounds; the overlapping conversations, the noise of the city, and the constant tension between softness and chaos that reflects Lebanon’s duality. I took very few photographs, and the few I did take on film were lost when the roll came out blank. In a way, this absence became essential; the experience found its form through sound, allowing the time I spent there to exist like a memory rather than an image.
